This is the "Comet Chorus," an analog chorus pedal from Gibson's maestro pedal series. This pedal uses analog delay elements (Bucket Brigade Device: BBD) technology, which is characteristic of chorus effectors, to produce warm, classic chorus tones. A key feature is the toggle switch that changes the chorus mode, allowing you to select between EARTH mode and ORBIT mode. EARTH mode provides a balanced, shimmering chorus effect, while ORBIT mode adds AM modulation to the chorus sound, creating a complex sound reminiscent of a rotary speaker. Using the internal trim pot, you can adjust the level of the ORBIT effect to your liking. Both the grounded EARTH mode and the orbiting ORBIT mode have very attractive tones.
