I made chopsticks from Tachi-gaki (ironwood). It's one of the world's three great precious woods, along with ebony and rosewood. They are hard and durable, so they will last a long time. They are also octagonal, making them less likely to roll away. Since they are processed from the raw wood, they won't peel like lacquered chopsticks.
