“The 5th Period War” Complete Set of All 4 Volumes I really enjoy stories where young boys and girls are somehow thrust into war, starting with "Saikano" (Final Weapon Girl) and including "Bokurano." I also like stories where girls are turned into weapons ( ˊᵕˋ ;;;) I wonder if this is influenced by Kamen Rider? Anyway, I got sidetracked, but this time I bought "The 5th Period War" based on the cover. The art is so gentle and nice. The color pages were very much to my liking. I've included a sample. The story itself didn't have any extreme or gory depictions, so you can read it with peace of mind. It's a manga about young boys and girls fighting against the usual "something," but for some reason, only the protagonist and his childhood friend are exempt from military service. It's a manga where the truth of why they were exempt comes to light. There are also romantic elements, which are bittersweet. It's a recommended work (*^^*) What do you think?
