I found this lovely cup and saucer set in my family's storehouse. The box has deteriorated over time, so I'm only selling the contents. Since it was in the box and wrapped in a bag, I believe it's probably new. The surface has a craquelure (crackling) finish. This is part of the manufacturing process and not a crack. Please enjoy it as part of the design.
