She began creating ceramic cat figurines in 1958, and later the workshop was named Winstanley Workshop, after Jenny's maiden name. In 1964, the workshop moved to Norfolk, and exports began, primarily to the United States, France, and Italy. In its heyday in the 90s, the workshop employed five staff and had a second factory.
