Artist's Description: The name is passed down through generations of the Ichinose family, who make their living as metalworkers in Toyama Prefecture. It is said that the first generation started as a casting craftsman in 1875. After that, the second generation became a hidden craftsman of Shohei Hatano, exhibited at many exhibitions, and won various awards. The third generation firmly inherited the techniques of the previous generation and trained in Kyoto from a young age. They studied the metalwork of antique bronzes, tea utensils, and flower vases, as well as the essence of coloring, and created works that made use of the techniques they learned there. The fourth generation collects and researches antique art tea utensils and applies them to their works.
