It started as "Rodana" and was renamed "Rodania" in 1952. Afterward, manufacturing in Switzerland was reduced due to the quartz crisis of the 1970s. The brand was rescued by the Aebi family in Belgium, and operations have continued in Belgium since then. In 2022, the Vincent Gaye Company acquired the brand and is rebuilding it. It is a manufacturer that continues to create unique watches even today. This particular piece, being a deadstock unused item from the 1960s in good condition, is highly valued and is attractive to collectors and mechanical watch enthusiasts for its rare parts and classic atmosphere. ● As it is a deadstock unused item, there are no noticeable scratches overall, and it can be said to be in quite good condition considering it was manufactured in the 1960s. A new BAMBI leather belt is included.
