The "Gibson Flying V Gothic" is a limited-edition series of electric guitars manufactured and sold from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. This series, as the name suggests, features a distinctive "Gothic" theme, with a dark and aggressive look that sets it apart from standard Gibson products. This guitar is characterized by its traditional Flying V shape, with all elements unified in black. The entire body is finished in satin black, and the hardware, including the tuners, bridge, tailpiece, control knobs, and pickup covers, is also blacked out. Furthermore, the fingerboard position markers are not dot inlays, but a crescent moon inlay is placed only on the 12th fret, and this simple yet symbolic design is an icon of the Gothic series. After 2006, a reissued version, the "Flying V Gothic II," was sold with active pickups such as EMG as standard equipment, but this guitar we purchased is the original model from 2001.
