Gibson All American 2 1997 Gibson All American 2 The ebony All American 2 is quite rare, I think. This is an easy-to-use model with a Melody Maker body, contouring, and a tremolo. The sound has a single-coil tone, but it's a Gibson sound. There's no harsh high end, just a gentle tone. Even when distorted with the front pickup, the low end doesn't get muddy, and you get a clean separation. The neck is straight, the truss rod works both ways, and the frets are 70% remaining. There is some deterioration due to aging of the paint on the back of the neck, etc. Other deterioration can be seen, but because it's been used, the sound is outstanding. The finish is gloss lacquer. The back cover is missing. Take this opportunity to get a genuine Gibson sound that hasn't increased in price yet.
