The name "Yipin" (First Class) embodies the pride of providing the highest quality brushes. From its founding, it was supported by the Qing Dynasty court and intellectuals, and its quality was highly praised by Guo Moruo, a famous modern Chinese writer and calligrapher, who donated the calligraphy of "Wang Yipin Zhai," establishing the brand's status. The Huzhou brush manufacturing technique was registered as a national intangible cultural heritage of China in 2006, and Wang Yipin Zhai Brush Shop continues to be a central figure in preserving that tradition, creating high-quality Huzhou brushes using carefully selected sheep's wool and wolf hair through more than 120 manual processes. Even today, while inheriting tradition and adding innovation, it has expanded into overseas markets including Japan and has received high praise from calligraphers and ink painters.
