SHURE V15TYPEIII White Letter + JICO VN35E. The headshell is SME S2-R. I am selling this to organize my collection of cartridges. I have confirmed that it produces sound at a 1g stylus pressure, and there are no problems. The cartridge is a valuable early-mid production white letter type with a JICO-made genuine compatible stylus VN35E. Despite its age, it is relatively clean, and the appearance is very beautiful. I have several of these from early to late production models. The early-mid production models have a textured front on the cartridge with white lettering. The stylus (needle) is a stock item that I used for comparison with the original and has been used very little. There is no deterioration of the cantilever, and the stylus tip is in good condition. JICO needles have excellent reproduction of ultra-high and ultra-low frequencies, and you get a feeling that the soundstage expands greatly. Realistically, replacement needles for the V15 TypeIII are available, but other than the original, cheap ones are also available. However, I think there is no other choice than JICO. The lead wires are self-made silver wires that I purchased previously. Pure silver (99.99%) wires are coated with polyurethane, and 32 strands are twisted together to create a super-litz wire that reproduces a clear and crisp soundstage. The headshell is a stock SME S2-R made headshell with twin lock pins. It is a late model and is still sold new, and it seems to be sold at a high price. I have owned many SME headshells from the old types and have used them with old cartridges since long ago. I personally prefer the more solid type, but... It is very lightweight and cool, and it especially matches this cartridge. I think that owning this combination will make your audio life enjoyable and very satisfying. Since it is old, please understand and consider before purchasing.
