Since it's made of rubber, there's a possibility it could break down over time. (It's currently in a state where it stretches without breaking.) If it breaks, you should be able to take it to an accessory shop and have it replaced, allowing you to use it again. Upon close inspection, there are some areas where the rubber material is visible (see image 3). This is a used item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about its condition.
