I've brought this out from my grandmother's house. It's a very rare summer obi, woven with shamisen strings called "Ikoma-ito." It's a Nagoya obi. My grandmother said it cost 500,000 yen about 30 years ago. It seems this type of weaving is no longer done, making it very valuable. It still has the original stitching, which I removed for photography and inspection. Perhaps because of the strong thread, there are no stains or marks, but it has been stored for a long time. Please understand that it is old, and those who are overly sensitive should refrain from purchasing.
