Soup tureens aren't very common now, but they used to be essential, included in almost every tableware set. This is a very lovely item, and I think it can be used for various purposes, not just soup. I hope you'll consider adding it to your collection. I was told it was unused when I received it, but I'm not certain, so I've listed it as "near new." It's been stored for many years, so there is some fading of the gold trim, some dirt on the bottom, and some crazing, though not severe. I've tried to show these in the photos as much as possible, but there may be some oversights. Please understand this before considering a purchase.
