There are no stains, but there is some fraying and pilling. I used to put this on my child when going from the bathroom to their room. In spring and autumn, I would put it on over just a diaper. In winter, I would put it on over pajamas. It also comes with a bear hat, so it's cute and helps their hair dry easily.
