This is a kimono made of black tsumugi fabric, woven with brown, white, and brick-colored threads to depict autumn leaves, possibly maple leaves (or grape leaves/ivy leaves?). There are also round patterns woven with white thread in places, which may be grape leaves and grapes, or perhaps ivy leaves with berries. The lining (hakkake) is brick-colored (deep reddish-brown). This is an awase kimono suitable for the months of October to early May, but the colors and patterns make it perfect for the autumn and winter seasons, especially now, for viewing the autumn leaves. The material is silk, and it is a very carefully hand-sewn garment from a reputable kimono shop. Although it has a bold design, the chic autumn color scheme gives it a very cool atmosphere, and it would blend in well with nature, such as when traveling to temples, shrines, historical tourist sites, etc. It's also suitable for casual outings, theater visits, museums, New Year's gatherings, first shrine visits, New Year's parties, year-end parties, dinners with friends, and even casual places like izakayas and wine bars. It's also wonderful as everyday wear, and it's a very versatile tsumugi. It's always fun to have many tsumugi kimonos. There is a very faint hook stain in one place near the border between the collar lining and the body lining (see photo 7). It is not visible when worn. Otherwise, the outer fabric, body lining, and hakkake are all clean without stains. The collar and cuffs are also clean (see photos 6 and 8) and there is no fading. However, there may be oversights.
