This item was given to me over 25 years ago during a short visit to a Miao village in Hunan Province, China. It is entirely handmade by women in charming traditional clothing, and I have kept it carefully ever since. However, I haven't had the opportunity to use it, and it feels wasteful to keep it, so I'm offering it for sale as part of a decluttering effort. I hope it can go to someone who will cherish it. Recently, Miao items tailored for the market are being bought and sold for business purposes, but I personally feel that this piece accurately reflects the design sensibilities of the people who made it at the time. A seashell is attached in the center, which I remember them saying they added because it was beautiful. Each piece is handmade, so I understand that no two are exactly alike. I also believe this design is probably rare these days (I'd love to hear from anyone with expertise!). The size of the pouch is approximately 30cm wide, 20cm high, and about 1cm deep, which expands when used. It also has an inner pocket. The strap is made of soft, sponge-like balls and is about 1 meter long. Although it is unused, please consider that it is a pre-owned item before purchasing. Please check the condition in the images.
