Using silk kimono fabric (of course, it's an antique kimono, but rest assured, it's been properly washed), I've made it using a quilting technique called Cathedral Window. In Japan, it's called Shippo pattern, isn't it? The orange and yellow parts of the thin silk fabric used in the Cathedral Window are processed with shibori (tie-dye). Also, look at the bottom of the brown fabric, the back. It was a kimono fabric with embroidery. Because it's a soft silk fabric, it was difficult to make. But I think I was able to express the luster of the kimono. Finally, I also decorated it with beads. Although a quilt-specific core is used, it's silk, so it's not a sturdy bag. It's a little soft. I thought it would be much easier to hold if it was made of the same fabric. The kimono fabric has been properly washed, but it is still a kimono that has been worn.
