I started making these because I heard from people whose children couldn't use the looped rubber bands at nursery school, causing trouble for the teachers. These are easy to use for small children who have small hands and lack strength, and also for the elderly who may find tying difficult. In the summer, they are also easy to use to secure ice packs to the bento box. The 2.5 cm wide rubber band has Alice in Wonderland fabric with playing cards and cats attached to the sides, allowing you to enjoy both patterns. It can be used from about 28 cm when fastened snugly without stretching the rubber band. It can stretch about 10 cm, but small children may want to use it up to about 5 cm. The Velcro is about 3 cm long. Please check around your bento box and make sure the size is snug enough to prevent the lid from opening. Since bento boxes come in various sizes, please be sure to check before purchasing. If you comment before purchasing, I will consider custom orders.
