The following is an excerpt from the manufacturer's product description: This jacket, known as the N-1, was adopted along with matching trousers by the U.S. Navy for use by ship crew members from World War II to the Korean War. The outer material, like other deck jackets, uses cotton grosgrain, commonly called "Jungle Cloth," and the lining uses alpaca mohair wool pile, which provides excellent wind resistance and heat retention.
