The Gadd Gang Here & Now (Japanese Edition) This album features the Gadd Gang, a super fusion band that has become legendary. The band was formed by Steve Gadd on drums, Richard Tee on keyboards, and Cornell Dupree on guitar, all members of the legendary 70s fusion band Stuff. They were joined by Eddie Gomez, the bassist who was a right-hand man to the legendary pianist Bill Evans. Later, Ronnie Cuber, a master of the baritone saxophone, joined the group, making it a five-piece band. This album kicks off with the Blues Brothers theme and pulls you in right away. It's the second album by the band Gadd created, dreaming of recreating Stuff. The quintet consists of Dupree, Gomez, Tee, and Ronnie Cuber (sax) from the MJQ. The album features a string of R&B classics, including "My Girl," King Curtis's "Seoul Serenade," the familiar "A Whiter Shade of Pale," and Stevie Wonder's "For Once in My Life." It feels like this is the sound Stuff would have continued to make.
