Measurements (approximate, by a non-professional): Tokkuri: Height 13.5cm x Mouth Diameter 3.5-8cm Width (max): 7.5cm Hakama: Diameter 7.8cm x Height 2cm Ochoko: Mouth Diameter 5.6cm x Height 3cm Hagi-yaki is fired at a low temperature, resulting in less shrinkage and greater permeability. Therefore, as you use it, moisture seeps in through the cracks in the surface glaze, called "nyu," and the color of the surface changes. This change is a characteristic of Hagi-yaki, and has long been referred to as "cha-nare" (tea familiarity) or "Hagi no Shichi-henge" (Seven Transformations of Hagi).
