I purchased this in Europe about 20 years ago. It's a beer stein, famous as a souvenir from Germany. This particular item is extremely large, and even just displaying it is incredibly impressive. It's also made of heavy ceramic, so transporting it from Germany was quite a challenge. That's why it's a cherished item. I've enjoyed displaying it in a curio cabinet, but I'm running out of space, so I'm reluctantly letting it go. I've never actually drunk beer from it, as it's far too large to finish! (^▽^) The metal lid has an antique finish from the time of purchase, and has always been in this condition. I believe this was one of the best-looking pieces on display. I think it's in good condition, but it is a used item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
