This is the Roland RE-501, the top-of-the-line model in the RE series of tape echoes. A legendary 80's vintage machine. Equipped with CHORUS, S on S, Reverb, etc. It has unique features not found in the RE-201, etc. The chorus is a particularly notable feature. Although the tape, which is replaceable, has deteriorated (I intentionally used the deteriorated sound without replacing it), its operation has been confirmed with this usage. It is a 117V specification, and at the time of purchase, I subjectively felt that the sound was thicker than the 100V model.
