This is a rare, all-over pattern fukuro obi (formal obi). It's a very beautiful item, only lightly tied for the photos, and is in excellent condition with no scratches or stains on either side. The gold color isn't captured well in the photos, but it looks more luxurious and beautiful in person. The base color is platinum gold (pale gold), giving the obi a sense of weight and luxury. The close-up images (photos 6-8) taken with a smartphone are the closest to the actual color. Because gold threads are woven throughout the entire obi, the manufacturing process is complex, production costs are high, and the obi is expensive. As it is an all-over pattern with designs across the entire obi, you don't have to worry about how to display the pattern. It allows for a variety of obi knots and is considered a versatile obi.
