In 1926 (Taisho 15), at the age of 21, he began his creative activities, starting with his selection for the Shotoku Taishi Hosan Exhibition. In 1934 (Showa 9), he exhibited at the Ryukei-ha Kogei Exhibition. He created works that responded to the new trends in art. After that, he continued to exhibit at the Kyoto Exhibition, the Teiten, and the Bunten, and in 1937 (Showa 12), at the age of 32, he won a silver prize at the Paris World Exposition.
