While the pages are yellowed, there are no page folds or writing, and it is perfectly readable. This Weekly Baseball features Toshio Shinozuka on the cover, and the back cover color gravure features Tatsunori Hara's batting sequence. The front cover color gravure features Hironori Ishige of Seibu, and the final back cover color gravure features Nippon Ham coach Yoshinobu Uemura demonstrating karate. Takashi Takada's refreshing talk features Shigeru Kobayashi, pitcher for the Hanshin Tigers, who frankly discusses the reasons for his poor form compared to the previous year.
