Functions: Hole punch function Corner cutter (embossing type) This is a DYMO M-3. The mechanism is in good working order, but the front cutter shaft is not yet fully broken in, so if it's difficult to remove, please gently move it up and down a bit (this will be resolved with use). There are some minor storage scratches, but no other scratches or rust. The chrome plating is thick and unlikely to rust. The production period dates back to the late 1950s to the early 1960s. It is equipped with a hole punch function for securing the tape. It has been serviced and is fully operational. I believe it is suitable for use and maintenance by those who are new to vintage DYMOs. Regarding precautions for vintage DYMOs: ① For DYMO MITE series and 1011 series, perform two to three blank strikes at the beginning of stamping (to prevent character misalignment). This is common to almost all DYMOs. ② For models M-2 and M-3, which have a knife-shaped cutter at the tip and no cutter function knob, the hammer spring will be a single sheet (this is not a missing part). ③ When inserting the tape, make sure the tape is straight (if there is a switch to specify the tape width, confirm and set the position in advance). ④ There are individual differences depending on the model, but in the case of horizontal writing, there may be vertical misalignment (some adjustment is possible if the misalignment is large, but please be aware that some degree of misalignment may occur). ⑤ For models with a razor-shaped cutter built into the tip (M-6, M-10, etc.), the tape may get stuck in front of the blade due to tape bending; in this case, please raise the cutter slightly. ⑥ Since the original metal tape is newly manufactured, it has no tape memory and has a strong resilience, so the tape may not advance due to resistance when stored in the main unit. Please cut it in advance or stamp without storing it.
