This is a precision diecast model made by Minichamps. It is a very rare model, not available domestically and limited to 306 units. This is a machine that competed in the BMW M1 Procar Championship, held as a support race for F1. It finished 5th in the series in its inaugural year, 1979. The driver was Toine Hezemans. *Image 10 is a pre-race image from that time. It has a cool design with the traditional M stripes representing the Dutch flag. This is one of the latest releases of the BMW M1 by Minichamps, so compared to the initial releases, the hood pins have been upgraded from resin to more realistic metal etched parts, the side markers are clear parts, and the tail light frames have been added, resulting in significant updates. Also, the production number was extremely small, and it is rarely seen nowadays. Recently, a manufacturer called Werk83 also released a model, but the price range is obviously different from Minichamps, so it naturally lacks the cowl opening gimmick, and the detailing is also inferior. This can be said to be the definitive version of the 1/18 scale BMW M1. It has been stored in a dark place, so both the outer box and the main body are in beautiful condition.
