This is pit-tanned, vegetable-tanned nubuck leather from Himeji leather, a domestic tanner that rivals Tochigi leather in popularity. Himeji leather is a general term for leather made by tanners in Himeji, and has been produced for over 1000 years. In ancient times, it was used for the armor of the Toyotomi family, and is still a domestic leather used by many brands today. This is pit-tanned, like Tochigi leather and Buttero, using vegetable tannins. This is core-dyed and has an emerald green color with a vintage-like, uneven pigment finish. This is a great deal with the mori-mori scrap set, so why not stock up? Thickness is approximately 2.0mm. There may be natural scratches, wrinkles, and small scratches from storage.
