It's lightweight with quilting, perfect for before the real cold sets in. I've worn it for about three seasons, and since I took good care of it, there are no noticeable scratches other than some loose threads on the sleeves. The hood is removable. I added a loop by hand so it can be hung on a hook. Please remove it if you don't need it.
