A representative example of Japanese vintage, a Greco Starocaster-type electric guitar. It appears to be a model from shortly after the change to the Fender CBS-style logo with gold frame and black letters. The SE380 was a cost-performance model in Greco at the time, and because the cavities and pickguard were designed to match the original pickups, it is difficult to replace them with general replacement pickups. This particular guitar has had the cavities expanded and the pickguard replaced, allowing for the installation of general replacement pickups to your liking. Currently, it is equipped with FENDER / Custom Shop Fat '60s Stratocaster Pickups. In addition, the control pots and switch have also been replaced. Along with the pickguard replacement, the pickguard mounting screw holes have been filled and re-drilled. The frets have been leveled, and while there are a few slight playing marks, they are generally in good condition. The remaining fret life appears to be about half. The truss rod is working fine, and the neck is in good condition. The string height is set to approximately 2.0mm on the 6th string side and 1.7mm on the 1st string side, and there is no buzzing, resulting in good playability.
