It's new, but my mother seems to have intended to use it for something, and she's hemmed one side. If you're planning to use it as a tablecloth, you can use it as is. How about making drawstring bags or lunch bags for children? There are no stains, but it has been handled by a person, so I don't recommend purchasing it if you are sensitive to such things.
