I purchased a used 4x10 cabinet and replaced all four speakers with brand new Celestion G10 Greenbacks. The cabinet is wired in a series-parallel configuration, resulting in a 16-ohm impedance, just like the cabinet indicates. I've also changed the speaker cable to Belden 9497. I'm still breaking them in, but the sound has a strong presence in both the high and low frequencies, with a sound pressure that rivals 12-inch speakers. The cabinet is compact, so it looks great with recent compact amp heads. How about it for home use? I'm selling it to downsize my gear.
