This is a JB-60 from the "Spa Logo" era of Tokai's Jazz Sound, which has been increasing in value in recent years. I've bought several Tokai guitars, and since this is a higher-end model, the wood used feels more premium compared to the 45 and 48 models. This is the last one I have. It features a spiral bridge and reverse-wind tuners. Judging from the wood grain, I believe the body is alder. The neck wood and fingerboard quality are also excellent. I previously owned a lacquer-finished JB-80, but this one has a thinner finish. It was released as a copy of the 1964 Jazz Bass, and it's been very well researched. I was particularly impressed by the thickness of the headstock, which closely resembles my own '64 Fender JB. I believe this neck feel and the excellent neck resonance are the reasons why Tokai is so highly regarded. The truss rod has plenty of room in both directions. The frets also have a lot of life left, as you can see in the photos. It has been adjusted and is ready to play. The pickguard was missing when I purchased it. As a bonus, I will include an anodized pickguard. Screws are not included. Please make minor adjustments to the screw holes yourself. The hard case is for photography purposes only. It will be shipped in a cardboard box over a soft case.
