This is a Tsugaru-jamisen (shamisen) set, including the instrument itself, a textbook, and accessories. The neck (sao) is made of rosewood (beniki), and the body (do) is a thick-necked (futo-zao) type made of Japanese zelkova (keyaki). The tuning pegs (itomaki) are made of ebony (kokutan). The neck also has "tochi" (figure) in the wood. Sound grooves are carved on the inside of the body. Suitable for use by beginners to advanced players. Size: total length approximately 105 cm, body approximately 20 x 23 cm. Accessories include: 2 picks (bachi), 2 neck rests (neo), 1 Tsugaru-nuri body cover, 3 bridges (koma), 2 sets of strings, 2 finger rests (yubikake), 1 cleaning cloth, 2 sets of strings, 4 textbooks, and 1 lubricant spray.
