This is a hichiriki reed carefully crafted from reeds that have been dried in the shade for several years and then smoked. It has been thinned considerably, so it should be easy to play. Therefore, it is recommended for those who are just starting gagaku or who want to practice playing it extensively. A diagram using high-quality Japanese paper is also included.
