Levi's 501 Big E, late period, no repairs or damage, dark indigo, a very well-preserved pair. The fabric is not thin anywhere, has a good stiffness, and still has some fuzz. It's just starting to show some fading. Based on the following features, it's likely from around 1971-73 (probably 73?). It seems to be from the transition period between Big E and small e. Paper patch with "CARE INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE GARMENT" printed on it (details from around '70~) Watch pocket with chain stitch on the back Parallel stitching on the front No long R button (from '71~) Selvedge underside with single stitching on both sides (before '73) Uneven V, double-sided Big E tab Front button back stamp 6 Markings on the back of the fabric from when it was cut (common for this era) Sleek stamp (appears to be a detail only from '73) It has the classic front button back stamp 6. The fabric is in very good condition, so you don't have to worry about wearing them casually. I personally believe that the late Big E fabric is meant to fade. Even being strict, there are no flaws.
