Product Description ★ This is a sculpture depicting the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates. Made in Greece, it is likely made of alabaster or cast plaster. It is approximately 13cm tall and weighs about 252g. The pedestal is inscribed with the Greek word "ΣΩΚΡΑΤΗΣ" (Socrates). ★ He is considered one of the founders of Western philosophy. Based on the concept of "knowing that you know nothing," he explored "living a better life as a human being" through dialogue with others. This particular statue is based on the statue displayed in front of the National Academy of Athens by the Italian sculptor Picarelli.
