It is often processed as a loose stone or cabochon, but it is rare as a bracelet with an elastic string running through it. Due to the worsening situation in Afghanistan, the origin of the stone, it has become difficult to mine, making it an even rarer mineral. It faintly changes color and glows when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
