This is a Turkish folk craft, a Trojan Horse. It is approximately 14 centimeters long and 19 centimeters high. It is a miniature version of the structure found at the ancient ruins that were the setting for the Greek myth "The Trojan Horse." It is based on the legend of the giant wooden horse that hid soldiers, which was sent into the city of Troy, leading to a surprise attack at night and its fall. There is some minor soiling.
