This is a rather luxurious coat, with a cotton Seigaiha (wave pattern) design on the front and a beautifully colored striped tsumugi (likely silk) on the back. It can be worn as a reversible coat. I had intended it for my husband, but the size doesn't seem to fit. I considered taking it apart and remaking it, but I thought it would be better if someone who could wear it would take it. There's a considerable amount of fabric, even for remaking, so I think it can be used in various ways. Also, although it's described as vintage fabric, I don't think it's that old.
