The lettering seems to be intact without any fading. There are scratches on the aperture ring and focusing helicoid, and some minor scuffs that are not very noticeable. I purchased the hoods later, and I have two types. They each cost around 30,000 yen, so I think it's a good deal. When a strong light is shone on the lens, there appears to be something like mold (or the remnants of mold), though it doesn't show up in photos. There are also some fine scratches. (I believe this was also mentioned at the time of purchase.) The optics are not perfectly clean, but for a Summilux 1st, this level is quite good. Recommended for those who intend to use it. Not recommended for collectors seeking a perfect item or those who are overly concerned with detail. I wanted to own a perfect one, so I bought a clean one, but when I went to Yamazaki Kogyo to have a Summicron polished, I asked them about this Summilux as well. They said it would be a shame to polish it and advised me to keep it in its original condition, so I left it as is. I haven't been using it, so it's a waste to keep it. I'm putting it up for sale. I will probably trade it in at Map Camera or similar stores after a while, so those looking for one, please do so as soon as possible. Please refrain from negotiating on the price.
