This is a truly magnificent piece, a Chinese natural stone Chengni inkstone. The area for grinding ink is a yellowish vermilion color, and the main body is a deep brown stone. It's a superb stone, and the impeccable carvings of a cloud dragon and phoenix make it a flawless masterpiece. I believe it's one of the top three pieces in my collection. Normally, this would sell for around 30,000 yen, but since I didn't pay that much for it either, I'm offering it at a low price, about one-fifth of the usual market value. How about it as a family treasure?
