This is the body of a ko-tsuzumi (small hand drum). Diameter: 10cm, Height: 25cm, Weight: 486g There are scratches on the edge of the body from use. There are no cracks in the body. The photo is taken brightly to show the marks of the plane on the receiving surface. The actual color is darker. The inside of the nest is carved with a very rough texture. The body itself is from the Edo period, but the maki-e (lacquer work) was applied later.
