They are artists who represent the hippie and psychedelic culture with a style that fuses various types of music. They were not involved with the Billboard charts because they were mainly active with live performances, but they were famous in America, doing large-scale tours every year. The band name comes from a fable about a traveler who encounters the remains of a stranger and, out of kindness, buries them, and later receives a favor in return from the deceased.
