This is a Shinobue flute, a Shinobue by Chikusui of the Shishida school. It has a natural color finish with tenchi (top and bottom) rattan wrapping. It is a 7-hon choshi (key) flute with six holes! This is a Shishida-ryu Shinobue Chikusui flute crafted by the second-generation flute maker Chuichi Ito of Ito Takekanki Seisakusho, who succeeded the flute maker Shishida of the late Edo period. It was made in the late Showa era, over 40 years ago. The bamboo is well-dried and has a natural color, and it is a wonderful instrument in terms of sound quality and tone. Please be careful of temperature differences such as high and low temperatures and humidity. Occasionally, lightly wipe it with salad oil, etc., to adjust it. I recommend this one!!
