This item has soft, wide elastic shoulder straps. They are adjustable with sliders. The elastic is a bit stretched out, but it can be adjusted, so it shouldn't be a problem. It has been washed, and the cushion is clean. I think it can still be used. The Pooh bear pillow has some areas where the filling has shifted due to washing.
