This is a measure taken by soldiers in actual combat to prevent the straps from snagging or getting caught, and this item was already in this condition when purchased from a British surplus store (photo 6). - The soldier's name is written on it (photo 6). - The pouches show some signs of use, but there is not much fading, and all functionality is maintained.
