This firing method was attempted to bring out a gold color on the brushstrokes, excluding overglaze painting. The pot's brick color is due to the absorption of carbon, which turned it red. This firing method is rarely used except by ceramic artists. The pot itself is suitable for direct fire and can be used as is. (No seasoning required) Not compatible with IH.
